Forged in the long Latvian nights, Drumrunz fed a private war of perspective into the drums until the static burned off and confidence became the only fuel left in the tank. The track surges hard, then softens just enough at the end to let something quieter and more human breathe underneath the chrome. That brief release is the pressure valve—the moment the machine remembers it still has a heart.“Life is a frequency.” Hesitation is already dust in the rear-view. The road stays open. Drumrunz Methodology
Tactile Synthesis, Human Precision
As my taste has evolved alongside the music itself, I have discovered that drum and bass offers an incredibly rich space for self-expression and self-reflection. Its spectrum can reveal so many different sides of an idea — from dark, heavy, and intense to light, spacious, and airy. Because of this, I do not want to restrict myself to a single subgenre or formula. I prefer to let the idea lead the process and allow the music to take its own shape.
For me, this freedom is an essential part of creativity. I approach every project with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to experiment. Rather than forcing an idea into a predetermined structure, I try to create an environment where sound can develop naturally.
Over the years, I have also developed a strong work ethic built around patience and attention to detail. My process is iterative: building, listening, refining, stripping back, rebuilding, sanding, polishing, and repeating until the result feels right. Each layer of work brings me closer to understanding what the music is trying to become.
Through this process, I have fallen in love with audio even more deeply than I ever expected. What began with writing music for a metalcore band has evolved into a fascination with sound itself !!! its movement, texture, space, weight, and emotional impact.
Ultimately, making music is my way of reaching a flow state: a moment where technical knowledge, instinct, emotion, and curiosity come together. It is a space where I can simply be myself in the moment and let the sound speak.
My journey with music spans around 20 years. It began with writing guitar tabs and developing material for a metalcore band, which gave me my first hands-on experience with composition, arrangement, and the process of turning ideas into music. Over time, that initial curiosity grew into a much deeper relationship with sound and music production.
Over the past eight years, bass music has gradually begun to speak to me in a deeper and more meaningful way. Through that journey, I have come to realize that audio engineering is not simply a technical field I want to work in !!! it is a field I want to continuously explore, understand, and develop within.
