For nearly two decades, music has been a way of exploring ideas, emotions, and the space between them. What began with writing guitar parts eventually became a deeper fascination with sound itself—its texture, movement, weight, and ability to transform an abstract feeling into something tangible. Over time, bass music and drum and bass became a natural language for this exploration, offering an endless spectrum of intensity, atmosphere, darkness, and space.
I see the creative process less as following a formula and more as discovering where an idea wants to go. Through patience, experimentation, and constant refinement, I try to create the conditions for sound to develop naturally. Audio engineering, for me, is therefore not simply a technical discipline, but a continuous process of listening, understanding, and uncovering. At its core, making music is about entering a state where knowledge, instinct, curiosity, and emotion become one.

“It Was All a Dream” carries the tension between nostalgia and forward motion, balancing a warm emotional core with the restless energy of drum & bass. Its low-slung bass feels almost physical, while the chorus opens into flashes of bright brass, creating the sensation of colour breaking through darkness. The track moves between restraint and release, letting the verses hold their breath before the music suddenly expands and takes over the space.
At its heart, the track feels like a conversation between who we were and who we are becoming. The quieter passages create room for reflection, while the surging chorus turns that reflection into something celebratory and alive. Rather than chasing excess, Drumrunz lets the emotion carry the weight, giving the music a sense of purpose and personal vision.

Drumrunz Methodology
Tactile Synthesis, Human Precision
As my taste has evolved alongside the music itself, I have discovered that drum and bass offers an incredibly rich space for self-expression and self-reflection. Its spectrum can reveal so many different sides of an idea — from dark, heavy, and intense to light, spacious, and airy. Because of this, I do not want to restrict myself to a single subgenre or formula. I prefer to let the idea lead the process and allow the music to take its own shape.
For me, this freedom is an essential part of creativity. I approach every project with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to experiment. Rather than forcing an idea into a predetermined structure, I try to create an environment where sound can develop naturally.
Over the years, I have also developed a strong work ethic built around patience and attention to detail. My process is iterative: building, listening, refining, stripping back, rebuilding, sanding, polishing, and repeating until the result feels right. Each layer of work brings me closer to understanding what the music is trying to become.
Through this process, I have fallen in love with audio even more deeply than I ever expected. What began with writing music for a metalcore band has evolved into a fascination with sound itself !!! its movement, texture, space, weight, and emotional impact.
Ultimately, making music is my way of reaching a flow state: a moment where technical knowledge, instinct, emotion, and curiosity come together. It is a space where I can simply be myself in the moment and let the sound speak.

My journey with music spans around 20 years. It began with writing guitar tabs and developing material for a metalcore band, which gave me my first hands-on experience with composition, arrangement, and the process of turning ideas into music. Over time, that initial curiosity grew into a much deeper relationship with sound and music production.
Over the past eight years, bass music has gradually begun to speak to me in a deeper and more meaningful way. Through that journey, I have come to realize that audio engineering is not simply a technical field I want to work in !!! it is a field I want to continuously explore, understand, and develop within.
